One Project -Seven Areas Of Focus

At Disaster Aid Australia we have found that our Safe Water for Every Child program has addressed every one of Rotary International’s Areas of Focus

WASH – Deliver clean, bacteria free water.

Fighting Disease – Major impact on the 80% of all illness in developing countries (WHO report on contaminated water)

Mothers & Children – Prevents illness in children under 5 are most at risk from contaminated water. Reduces the burden on mothers who are frequently the ones obtaining water for families.

Education – Major reduction in school absences. Less teacher time lost dealing with ill students.

Promoting Peace – Better health from safe water means hope.

Growing Local Economies – Better health means people can earn more, and no bottled water means more to spend locally. Safe water allows new local businesses opportunities (see photo below).

Protecting The Environment – A SkyHydrant saves at least 45 tonnes of CO2 /year. Reduced plastic bottle waste.
